I agree, this could turn out to be a disastrous move. Neither Khan or Mai will make huge PPV sells. For an American boxing PPV star to be fighting a Mexican on a major Mexican holiday, Floyd's turn with Guerrero was abysmal. This could be worse.

The last PPV was testament to Canelo's drawing power (diminished now due to the loss) and clever marketing (he so young and big and powerful). All of that is gone. Showtime are losing money on this deal.
