jeez how many times can people watch a fighter look great against garbage competition only to look mediocre in their first step up before they realize
its premature to dub dudes like this a world killer just yet.Comment

I rewatched round 2, and I counted 11 punches landed by adama, a 85% increase of the 6 compubox counted. I rewatched round 5, and I counted 12 punches landed by adama, a 50% increase of the 8 compubox counted.
This by all means does not prove Golovkin is super hittable, but compubox is useless.
He landed 4 jabs in round 5
Or how many body shots?Comment

In round two i'd say that Adama only landed maybe one or two fairly flush jabs and one pretty flush right hand. Adama may have landed a number of other jabs, perhaps as many as you counted but they were not high quality jabs.
Compubox is indeed largely useless but not primarily because they are error prone in their counting of landed punches but rather because they do not distinguish between the quality of landed punches. Adama landed very little of quality throughout. Golovkin has a good or even a very good defence, particularly for a fighter moving forward fighting aggressively. If the criticism is that he can be hit then yes but what else is new? Everyone gets hit.Comment

Adama landed 2 or 3 good punches all fight. Golovkin has better then average defense, especially for a guy who chases you downComment
