FWIW the Dirrel victory wasn't a pretty one for GGG either, he got through mainly on aggressiion where Dirrell was superior technically and had the speed.
Personally, I don't put a lotta stock in amateur results. Not only is amateur boxing incredbility corrupt. But the scoring system is just flat out ******ed. I'm sure you'll find plenty of folks that feel Dirrell won that fight. I feel like psycologically, amateur results can play a role in head-2-head match-ups in the pros. Especially when one guy was somewhat dominant over the other in the amateurs ala Mosley over DLH or Forrest over Mosley. But as for how it translates to the pros. I really don't give it much thought.

On a sidenote. Berto was very successful against Bradley in the amateurs. And personally, I m still curious to see how that one would play out in the pros.

U doubt? Mama mia santa maria really?

what's that am talking about pal what's that am phukin talking about,

u're putting some lowskilled overhyped ultimate can crusher with such a pathetic defensive skills on Ward's level, jeez.

That would be the EASIEST fight on Ward's pro journey.

Like Rigo got vs overhyped Donaire who was also duckin real dudes for years.
And moda****az called him a p4h fighter of the year.

Did u see what happens when that "fighter of the year" faced a serious kid?
He was exposed like an amateur by A leveled boxer.
Cuz Donaire has never been on that level NEVER.

      Same **** Golovkin.

Just let that protected by HBO dukin pusy fight Andre Ward. I wanna see that humiliation.
Dude why do you bother? Your posts are dog****, all of them. Donaires resume was 10x better than Rigo's at that point

It's funny to me how all these guys will excuse this because they like Golovkin. He gets a pass no matter who he fights.

But they will be super critical of the opponent choices of other boxers who have a much better resume than GGG.

I'd rather watch GGG fight Mayorga. Neither of them has a prayers chance in hell of beating GGG, but Mayorga might last a few rounds and entertain us every step of the way

I feel bad for Lee if he fights GGG. The beating will be twice as bad as what Chavez JR did to him.

He's been a pro nearly a decade. And he's a decorated amateur. No sense in his resume being as pathetic as it is. He said anybody from 54-68. Ward said let's get it. What the problem is???

                  BTW, Kirkland is a bum.

If that makes me a hater, so be it.
Everyone wants to see Golovkin fight legit competiition - take the time to read through the threads and you'll find this is opinion common to all boxing fans....nonetheless, just like every other fighter he gets what he gets....then does his job and disposes of his opponents - generally in a way that they've never been disposed of before..

Everyone wants to see Golovkin step up...sometimes we just have to wait for the s#it we want.

Can't say I'm thrilled. Lee hasn't fought a meaningful opponent since Chavez. Not only that, but he doesn't seem too durable. They better get a big ring or he'll end up like Ishida.
