Personally, I don't put a lotta stock in amateur results. Not only is amateur boxing incredbility corrupt. But the scoring system is just flat out ******ed. I'm sure you'll find plenty of folks that feel Dirrell won that fight. I feel like psycologically, amateur results can play a role in head-2-head match-ups in the pros. Especially when one guy was somewhat dominant over the other in the amateurs ala Mosley over DLH or Forrest over Mosley. But as for how it translates to the pros. I really don't give it much thought.
On a sidenote. Berto was very successful against Bradley in the amateurs. And personally, I m still curious to see how that one would play out in the pros.
