A size 37 from Dolce & Gabbana, that the only belt Cotto has.
Sergio Martinez is the only real Champion in that ring. Side B my ass
He's won belts in multiple weight classes, not referring to just the now.

Of course it's likely Martinez does one or the other but I can't see him outboxing Cotto for 12 rounds, not at this stage of his career.
No doubt, he's a problem for anybody...under 160. Miguel lost a step at 154. He doesn't belong at 160. Sure, he's good enough to put on a show against an old and injured "Maravilla," but he better hope Sergio shows up not just old but injured as well. And can you imagine Cotto versus GGG?

No and I don't think Cotto can either . He just sees the right opportunity here. Of course, if this was Sergio from a couple years ago I think Cotto goes down. But I could see this being a hellish night for Sergio if he isn't able to put Miguel away or seriously hurt him.

lol No, I don't think Miguel sees himself versus GGG even in his dreams.

And, yes, there's no doubt Martinez was picked for his apparent vulnerability. It was like a predator targeting a sick animal falling back from the pack. It might work -- that's the only reason I find this fight intriguing at all -- but it can backfire badly.

Agree 100%. And it's not like Cotto is a young champ either. Both are shopworn at this stage. I think this is going to be a great fight -- so psyched for this Saturday

Miguel is only 33. I know a lot of people feel he's taken too much punishment over his career -- and they might be right -- but I think Cotto would be just fine if he were still at 147. 154 was already asking for just a little too much, and 160 is going overboard. I wonder what Miguel's game-plan is if he loses to an old, injured "Maravilla." It seems to me he's ready to call it a day if he can't pull this off. It looks like one final attempt to make history, before sailing off into the sunset.

Do you know how much he's getting paid for this fight? Both of them, actually.

Your bias is hilarious. Cotto earned his place whether you admit it or not. I hope you are recovering from seeing Lucas submit in round 11 against Danny. That shot to the top of the head, told him to sit the phucc down and regroup.

It's gonna be OK kid. What matters is that you dared to dream. Never stop.

No. Just tried looking it up real quick...nothing. Interesting, though...Miguel was paid one million to fight Trout, who got paid $240k. I imagine both "Maravilla" and Cotto will get paid more than a mil a piece for this showdown.

Not sure how reliable this is but Im reading $9m for Cotto and $6 for Martinez. That's not bad cash at all. If Cotto loses he can fight one more time and call it a day.
