Why do people care what nickname a fighter's fan gives him. I gave him that nickname. I find it hilarious that posters ***** and moan about it like matters. It's a nickname
I guess some of us think you're capable of being so delusional that you would convince yourself that he was actually undefeated or perhaps a real king of some sort. As long as you're aware that you're playing make believe then it's all good bruh.
Sergio will attempt to come out against Cotto to inflict damage, similar to the Chavez Jr. fight.
Cotto, IMO, should box Martinez and make Sergio press him. Martinez never loos very comfortable having to force the fight. Cotto should use his jab, this great stamina he's talking about for this fight, and the footwork they've been working on and outbox Martinez. Many will laugh, but Miguel Cotto CAN outbox Sergio Martinez. He is vastly underrated as boxer. He's never discussed as being a very technical fighter, but he has a stiff jab, good technique on his punches, and good balance. Sergio, who is being hailed as the "slicker" guy, is actually frequently off balance and fights with his hands at his waist.
So...what will be Miguel's plan? Do you thin that Sergio will come out pressuring the King? I think he is going to try to impose his size advantage.
Post your fight plans!

Martinez is gonna fight the same way he always fights. In the early rounds, he's gonna try to keep the fight in the middle of the ring while circling around, leading with his jab and trying to counter Cotto with the left hand as he comes in and throwing the right jab-left hand-right hook combination when Cotto shells up. Cotto will try to fight his way in behind his jab and try to land his left hook to the body and head. I think Martinez might counter Cotto's left hook with his left hand (see:Macklin fight Rd 11) and hurt him. Cotto will begin to fade in the championship rounds and Martinez will go for the kill throwing multiple combinations. Depending on how much damage Martinez' punches inflict on Cotto it could be a solid decision or a late stoppage for Martinez.
Cotto's chances will largely depend on Martinez's knee condition, which could hamper Sergio's movement and allow Cotto to cut the ring with greater ease and give him a chance of landing his left hook.
