I see the fight going two ways.

For Martinez, as the Champion he tries to punish Cotto early and gain Cotto's respect for his power/skills. Hurt him early in the first 3 rounds if possible. After then box till the late rounds, round 8-9 and onwards, Cotto will gas like usual and be prime for the stoppage.

For Cotto, he starts fast and explosive. Body shot, body shot. Punching with Martinez. Slowing down Martinez. Cotto hoping Martinez' age shows coupled with his injuries. Cotto hoping to find that Martinez slows down just enough he can start to catch Martinez on his way out of exchanges and in lazy spots.

I think Cotto needs a stoppage to win.
