I am a Cotto fan but I am a Sergio Martinez fan too. It hurt me a lot, when I saw Sergio loosing in that kind of fashion. I feel bad for Sergio he is a true warrior he fought anyone, he was robbed by Al Haymon against Paul Williams, he fought on short notice, was robbed by the WBC.
I am happy for Cotto but on the same time I feel very bad for Sergio. Sergio might have a chance against Sam Soliman or Quillin. What do you guys think? Sergio had a tough tough career he fought really anyone and when Golovkin came up Sergio was trying to make money, I do not blame Sergio for not taking that fight. Wish Sergio the best.

He's such a physical fighter, I doubt he'll even be able to handle him right now. He would probably wear Sergio down.

With an injury like that his career is over.

        I mean OVER.

Not that it matters much, but, was the 4th knockdown in round 4 legit? I didn't appear that Martinez hit the deck

You mean the 7th? The one in 4th wasn't ruled a KD.

No it wasn't a legit KD

When it was live - it looked like his glove hit the mat - but on replay - he never touched

That's what I thought. Other than that, the referee did a good job

Yeah, the referee didn't get into position quick enough since the fighters were circling to the right and that hard jab landed, so from the ref's angle I could see how he thought the mat was touched based on Sergio's forward momentum. From the TV I was like "THat was a KD!" like a school girl - then the ref agreed w/ me and I was like "Yeah I'm the ish"

                    Then the replay happened

                    I was like "uhhhhh"

his knee/glove almost but didn't hit the canvas, just like the other poster mentioned live it looked like it.

the Argentina's next to me were crying when it happened but it didn't really matter.

the one the ref called a slip I thought Cotto made contact to the head.
