I think unfortunately Martinez is stuck in a Felix Sturm situation where its' not worth it for him to leave if it isn't a big money fight.
    WTF?
Now he's becoming Gavin Reese and hiding out in his country?

    Hahaha

He'll sue his way out if it's to fight Canelo or Floyd. As would anyone with a brain for that kind of money. Otherwise he'll just fight Rubio and GGG. Or move down to 54 and set himself up for Canelo. HBO cant MAKE him fight GGG. Martinez is 40 years old and still not even cleared to train. Dude wont fight GGG if he plans on fighter after that lol. Lets be real, Martinez would get stopped at this stage in his career. He's smaller, older, more war torn coming off serious surgeries. People who think the Cotto - Martinez winner is fighting GGG are delusional. Martinez might be brave enough to do it but I dont think Lou lets him. Kind of how he said he'd be willing to fight Ward and lou panicked and was like "... I dont care what Martinez says he's not fighting ward" lol.

If GGG waits a year or two just to get ahold of Sergio thatd be a pretty sad waste of time to fight someone we all know he should crush... GGG should look up as all (but Ward) have done and when you cant find a fight at your weight, look up.

GGG matches up better with about 99% of the 68ers than he does vs Martinez and Quillin :/... Age and injuries aside Sergio is stylistically a bad matchup for GGG and Quillin can move an has some speed (doubt its enough) and no one outside of what.. Ward has noticeable speed and skill (maybe Groves??) I want GGG to fight dudes i'm not sure he can beat as opposed to guys I know he can. :/ I guess I have more confidence in GGG that the fanatics lol

I would love jr (if he looks good vs vera) vs GGG or Froch vs GGG. I think we could have a look into GGGs will in those fights. His upbringing would suggest he'll have heart, but i'd like to see his warrior spirit tested.

He's not getting out of that HBO contract without fighting him
I love how keyboard warriors use the word duck and call guys cowards when they have never been in the ring themselves! The guy has been operating at the highest level under the radar for most of his career now that he's nearly hitting forty and looking for a good payday he's ducking!?

He's fought a prime Margarito when he was a novice, beat the lineal MW in pavlik, fought P-Will twice when he was considered the boogeyman, Dzinzurik who was at the time probably the most proficient JMW around, Macklin, Barker, Chavez Jr, Murray! But yeah the guy ducks fighters!! GTFO you dummy!

The guy is coming off an injury that would threaten careers of young fighters let alone ones that are middle age! So what he passed up Rubio, the guy hasn't been good since Pavlik wrecked him! I'd much rather see Cotto fight Maravilla than Rubio! And to say he's ducked GGG!?...Martinez has said he wants to fight him in late 2014 on more than one occasion!

This. Sergio is far from a coward. Also, GGG vs. Martinez could definitely be a PPV fight.

Remember when Danny Garcia was supposedly afraid of Matthysse.

On what conditions did the WBC allow Martinez to fight Cotto? Was it like, 'Ok fight Cotto but you have to fight Rubio next'? Because I see Rubio is #1 in the WBC ratings. Unless HBO absolutely forces Martinez vs GGG like they did with Martinez vs Dzinzuruk, I don't see how Martinez will fight Triple Hype.

Not televising his fights I assume if it continues past Rubio. I'm sure there'd be some form of dispute they could come up with (for canelo/floyd) seeing as GGG could get a fight with Stevens on HBO whos lower than Rubio along with some of the other crap HBO has been willing to feed. If they dont televise 2+ I'm sure they would dispute it.
