Gennady is the real deal and has his head on straight. He trains hard and hits like a Mule, But his handlers need to step up competition. I still think a fight with Mayweather or Ward are 50-50 fightsComment

Actually lots of GGG fans (also boxing fans) want the Ward fight to happen, but also, sensibly figure it'd be a good idea for GGG to gain some SMW experience first, and also to build his profile by becoming as nearly as possible the undisputed #1 @MW.I agree he was doing that 54-68 thing to cover his tracks to get a fight with Floyd. But Ward was on the other side of that scale and you notice how NONE of the GGG fans want that fight to happen?
But of it were Floyd they would claim Floyd is scared. But GGG is not scared to move up and face Ward it is "He has to clean out his division" lol but when it is time to face Floyd that division shyt does not apply.
They know GGG is all hype and figure he has the size to beat Floyd, so they rather him face Floyd than get straight embarrassed dog walked, humiliated by the #2 fighter in the world.
It's always an excuse when it is time for Ward. Oh he is too big. He won't leave Oakland. He doesn't bring money to the fight. If that is the case and GGG main concern was money why in the hell would you face Adama?
Surely Ward brings more money to the table than Adama! But these nuthuggers on here don't want to see GGG exposed but that is coming soon.
Talking about the Adama fight as if Ward was a potential alternative opponent is simply ludicrous - like Ward would fight off HBO (and worse still in Monaco instead of Oakland) for a few $100K? GGG - Ward has the potential to be a PPV, and there is little point in making it until it can be sold as such for the maximum profit. Ultimately both fighters recognise and acknowledge that this point is some way away (without even bringing Wards promotional issues into the equation).
Make no mistake, whilst some of the most die-hard GGG fans believe that he beats Ward right now, most favour Ward, though giving GGG a chance ranging from like 25-50%.
It seems to be those who are either enraged by GGG mentioning that he'd like to fight FMJ (when the question was put to him) or upset by a minority of Golovkin fans that oversell him (often in deliberate response to the repeated anti-GGG troll threads that spring up) that are pushing for an immediate GGG - Ward fight. The fight will come, but realistically you have to acknowledge that Golovkin has yet to prove himself at that kinda level at 168 (or indeed to prove himself at 168 at all).
If your only desire is not to have to read posts about Golovkin then your best bet would be to simply not read threads with 'GGG' in the title. Simples.
Really, my friend, life is too short to get vexed over such trivialities.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-09-2014, 11:48 AM.Comment

That bold section shouldnt stop GGG from being called a DUCK! Well...yeah - Hard to argue that one...there's a good number of quackophiles on NSB; apparently fighters just haveta mention one anothers name to be proclaimed duckers or duckees(?) these days.
Nonethless I'm not one to call fighters duckers (the only guy coming close recently being Stevenson - and even then I've given him a lotta latitude given his age and the potential brevity of his career)Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-09-2014, 04:30 PM.Comment
