At first glance, Marquez would seem overrated based on his official wins.

But when you look deeper, you see he probably should have gotten wins over Norwood and John, as well as Pacquiao possibly in three other fights.

    He's rated just fine.

Still doesn't excuse him not fighting any real contenders or legit fights other then Bradley or Manny for like the last 4 years.

I honestly thought he lost to Barrera,, had that knockdown been called correctly he wouldnt have won

          His official legit wins....

Pacquiao, Katsidis, Diaz, Casamayor, Barrera, Salido, Gainer, etc.

Out of those his Top 5 are probably.....

          1. Pacquiao
          2. Barrera
          3. Casamayor
          4. Gainer
          5. Diaz/Salido

But he arguably should have had wins over Pacquiao in 04' and 08', as well as wins over John and Norwood.
Have you seen and Watch the John fight? - Marquez clearly was beat. - He was not rob. Unless your a marquez fan.

Pac-Marquez 1, Pac was robbed by the judge who scored it 10-7 and not 10-6 so Pac already won the first fight fair. Arum just wanted it not to end but it was a good thing coz the rivalry was fun to watch

            Great explanation...........

John did literally nothing significant in the fight, but I didn't say he was robbed. He was on the losing end f questionable decisions. The fight was ugly, close, but I thought Marquez did the more significant work.

He was robbed in the Norwood fight.

i like how most people call MAB and casamayor shot, when marquez had lost his legs and athleticism when he fought them, so he wasn't a spring chicken.

and don't give me this he changed his style to help his career, no fighter likes to get hit.

theres a reason why MAB didn't fight him when MAB was in his prime.

He was a legit champ at 126, 130, and 135... And really only clearly lost wide to Floyd,,

I do think his resume is not the greatest but he has the biggest win via ko that any fighter could ever really have, and his resume is on par or better than say winky, Shane, morales, serg, etc

I wouldn't say John clearly beat him but it wasn't a robbery though, that's for sure.
