Don't believe he lost his hunger and killer insitct. He fought an awkward dude and he had a hard time to figure him out. I also believe Perez underestimated him. Perez will look a lot better against Jennings. Should be a very good fight I just hope Perez comes in shape.

      Nice matchup!

def agree HW is getting more interesting with the vacuum created by Vitali's exit

I have a lot of trust in Jennings as a fighter he just shows up and does his thing. unfortunately Perez is dealing with some things right and will need to shake the Mago and Takam fights. Even at 100% , it seems to me that Jennings is in too good of shape for Mike over the long haul. Still a close fight, i wonder how Jennings improving defense will hold up against Perez's accuracy

I wonder if the WBC will fulfill its promise and actually give the winner the first shot at the title. The WBC has a history of taking sanctioning fees from guys like this and then screwing them over. I can see the WBC screwing the winner over by giving Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury a shot at the belt before the winner of this fight. I hope it doesn't happen, but I am not optimistic.

Perhaps they'll make the winner of Jennings-Perez face the winner of Wilder-Scott and the winner of that bout would see the new champ, Arreola or Stiverne.

Tyson Fury is cut out of that picture but I could see it that way. He ticked off the WBC anyways with some harsh words.

perez's punches were like a mosquito bite to takam... abdusalamov was not that good. it's a shame what happened but he was hammering low level competition before the perez fight. I think takam's 6'2 256lbs body had more to do with how the 2nd half of the fight went then perez's mental state. perez is a small HW & he could hide behind takam. takam is a mack truck. look at his neck, shoulders & calves. perez look like a little boy compared to takam. as soon as takam knew perez couldn't hurt him he put the pedal down. no one here gives takam any credit. perez can beat the C level guys but will he be able to handle the big boys? i'm not so sure. perez\Jennings is a great matchup.

Hopefully Perez can get his head straight leave all the negativity behind and go back to his old hungry self.

if stiverne beats arreola again then DON KING has control of the WBC title. anything can happen then. king is getting old & he may just want to cash out on a fight with wlad. haye is training again so he could get in the mix again especially since king has done lucrative business with haye before & served up valuev as a sacrificial lamb. stiverne has already had issues with king so I wouldn't be surprised if king would try & do the same to stiverne. the whole picture could get pretty murky if stiverne wins. if K2 wants that WBC belt they may have to deal with king & we all know how much they like doing business with him... I want unification so I hope arreola wins. there is a much better chance of that happening if K2 has to deal with goosen then king...

Funny how a fighter has an off night but according to armchair experts like you, "he doesn't have it in him anymore". Don't be so quick to write a guy off, he is more than capable of bouncing back. It may be true that he has lost his hunger but neither you or me can judge that in one fight. Let's see what happens in his next fight.
