BROOKLYN, N.Y. - It's a super week in New York City and several of the five boroughs' finest boxing talent showed their super skills Thursday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The action culminated with a surprising second round knockout of former WBC Welterweight World Champion "Vicious" Victor Ortiz (29-5-2, 22 KO's) as a result of a right hook thrown by WBA International Welterweight Champion and Brooklyn native Luis Collazo (35-5, 18 KO's).

"I had no doubt in my mind that I was going to win," said Collazo. "I went through hard times and maybe I wasn't ready before, but I was ready today.

"When I was in the locker room, the joy, happiness and excitement hit me that I have the opportunity to perform in Brooklyn in front of my fans and the people I grew up with here," he continued.

Third fight and second tune up in a row you lost.... start lower or retire.

Fight a LW if you still want to stay in boxing and not get KO'd

LOL @ "I put my heart out there"

Yeah, sitting there consciously as the ref counts you out

I don't know which imposter showed up against Berto but Ortiz needs to go away.

Time to retire Ortiz. The day you broke your jaw will always haunt you, and I think you don't have enough grit to move on from that.

This type of mindset is why, imo, Ortiz never developed as a fighter. Instead of learning from his mistakes, like throwing wide punches with no guard, rushing in hands down, punching himself out of position, etc. he always had the "Oh well, ***** happens" attitude. That mindset probably helps him in some areas of his life, but definitely not boxing.
