Quite possibly the most apathetic boxer of all time

It's just a good thing it happened so early in the fight. Victor doesn't need to be getting beaten up like that.

The difference my friend was, Manny learn from it and did a boxing clinic against come forward bull type Rios, does Manny's chin holds up when get hit solidly? We'll find out.

I'm not a fan of either but as a casual I feel bad for Vic, I thought he could recover if he just went down on a knee, But he got hit twice flush on the back of his head twice it was all wrong for him.

I wonder how well Victor Ortiz would have done against his original
opponent who was to be Alfonso Gomez on the Maidana-Broner card
that's already 3 KO losses for Victor Ortiz unless, Ortiz can somehow
resurrect career and stop being used as a stepping stone. Ortiz isn't
no "Irish" Micky Ward, Ward fought with more heart and never quit a
fight, Victor Ortiz is at the crossroads, perhaps he should even try to
consider fighting back at Junior Welterweight and see how it goes.

I think Ortiz wasn't expecting a real challenge here. He thought he would walk right through this guy and when he got caught he wanted no more. That look on his face as he was kneeling down was a look of a guy that had no interest in getting into another war like with Berto.

Denial is the most lethal narcotic there is, and this kid won't realize this until he has severe brain damage or neurological problems. I suppose that's somewhat ironic but it is certainly pretty sad.
