I disagree. If the event is HBO or Showtime maybe. But when you pay $70, you want an event! Already I know my people will pay for Canelo-Angulo and skip the Manny fight, not because Canelo is better, but because the card is an event. Hard working folks can't afford 5-6 PPVs a year for boxing alone (not counting MMA).

You disagree because you just don't know. Everyone who goes to a fight night party in someones home, doesn't pay $70. One person does. The facts are this, people go to watch the main event. Very few tune in for the undercards. Thats just a fact you have to accept.

I use the undercard fights to get drunk for the main event!

That's not true! Many casual fans that I see at the big fights are clueless. They come to the arena kinda early. I've seen a lot come to the arena at the time the ticket or posters says the event starts. But those with experience knows it never starts at that time. So when I finally come to take my seat by the time the main event is ready to start, some look at me and say damn where were you? and how did you know exactly when this **** was really going to start? we been here for hours!

I guess the fight parties I go to have more boxing fans and not casual fans. I know we were really hoping for Pac-Provodnikov instead of Pac-Bradley, because we know it will be weak again. We had a ball watching Floyd-Canelo because of the undercards. Pac-Rios event put us to sleep. We won't miss Canelo-Angulo event!

I agree, and especially in this economy! It's still hard out there for many people financially.

Member of the 10% club here. For the most part , I like there to be at least two fights on the card that I have a general interest in for whatever reason . If not , then I'm totally ok with saving 70 bucks , streaming it , and watching the reply in a week . It's also a very great feeling if the fight turns out to suck and I didn't waste my money. So it don't matter to me bob ..
