Would boxing be more popular if they used stage names like wrestlers?

    Check out the ratings for Raw and Smackdown for the past few years. Ratings have almost fallen to the levels that killed off WCW. Wrestling's popularity seems to have tanked in the past decade.

      I'm with the OP on this. For some fighters it will add some real shine and a greater promotional angle.

      See some greats in the past.

      Who is more familiar? Gerardo González and Masahiko Harada, or their pugilistic aliases Kid Gavilan and Fighting Harada.
