Would boxing be more popular if they used stage names like wrestlers?

Especially Latin fighters. The average casual fan cant differentiate between Mikey Garcia and Danny Garcia. Almost every latin fighter has a last name ending in Vargas, Vasquez, Martinez, Morales, Diaz, Ortiz, Etc.. Its hard for a casual fan to recognize and keep up with who's who and as a result its hard to generate a following especially if you dont have a crowd pleasing style. I just think if boxers took on stage names like wrestlers do it would help with fighter recognition.

    Your thoughts....

Some do. Many dont. Even the ones that do arent known because of their nicknames.

Doesnt "Head Crusher vs Lightening Joe" sound more appealing than (example) "Julio Diaz vs Juan Garcia". As a casual fan you hear those two names and say to yourself...."who the F are those guys?"
