I can understand his line of thinking because he's likely to make a lot of money with his new contract but seems to me the better idea in the long run would be to jump ship.

Imagine if he were to beat Pacquaio them got himself into fights with Garcia, Thurman, Matthysse, Porter, Maidana, Broner etc etc etc the list goes on and of course Mayweather.
Bradley can easily lose all of those fights. He made the best business decision for him. I guess "boxing is a business" only applies to one fighter. Everyone else needs to fight the toughest fights for the fans. you cats can't make up your minds.

For all of you GBP fanboys (can you believe we have promoter fanboys now?) that think Bradley is ****** and a pawn of "evil Arum" have you considered that Bradley simply cannot make anywhere near $6million (with ppv upside) against any other fighter than Floyd Mayweather.

So why exactly should he go to GBP? Even if he fought 2 PPVs against the likes of Garcia and whoever, he wont get anywhere close to that $6million number. The PPV buys simply would not be strong enough. GBP will use their PPV dates for Floyd and Canelo, not TB.

Factor in that HBO has a bigger budget and he is one of the stars they feature, this move makes all the sense in the world for him.

          I don't have a clue what you're talking about.

          What do you mean?

I agree with your theory but HBO doesn't have a bigger budget. They have been reducing it and brought in Herschman specifically because he operated with a smaller budget at SHowtime. SHowtime has been increasing their budget.

he's gotten a JMM and 2 PAC ppv fights...besides being a loyal guy, showdowns with Rios and Alvarado are 'easier' money than going over to GBP and taking on Lucas or Garcia...it's actually a smart business move

as a boxing fan, i would have liked to see him switch, but i do understand why he stayed

You don't have to explain yourself, Tim. Most grown ass men realize that you need to do what's best for your family.

I think he made the right choice....Top Rank needs him badly so i think he probably negotiated a hell of a deal with them golden boy wouldnt make him a priority like Robert Guerrero is finding out too many other stars over there harder to get the money you want when so many others that need to be fed.....they would probably not give him as much.

At GBP he has many more lucrative options even if he doesn't get the Mayweather fight. In fact, there are fighters at Golden Boy I would pick to beat Bradley. There are much more competitive fights for him at Gbp with Garcia, Matthysse, Maidana, Thurman, Canelo, Guerrero, Porter, Malignaggi, Khan all being possible fights for him.
None of those fighters at GB are making anything close to 6 million! Floyd last few opponents only made about 2.5mil - 3mil except for Canelo who made more. Broner & Maidana mad a little over a 1 million facing each other! There's no money to be made off of Porter & Thurman because he's the new kid on the block. Khan is not even worth it! Guerrero is about to be screwed over by GB because he tried to leave. Broner has his own problems! Fighting those guys will only get Bradley a little over a million bucks per fight unless he fights Floyd which will only get him about 3 million. He's getting 6 million guaranteed plus more for PPV buys.

truth is all of this is speculation but for the 6 mil guarantee. but no1 can blame a man for going after his money just like no1 can blame fans for not being excited about missing out on some excellent fights with bradley in the mix. there really is no right answers here. just opinions that can be looked at and justified from either angles.
