    Facts:

Bradley is the #1 welterweight NOT named Floyd Mayweather
Bradley makes more money than ANY WW fighter on GBP's roster
Bradley headlined more PPVs than ANY WW fighter on GBP's roster
Bradley is higher ranked pound for pound than ANY fighter on GBP's roster

The way I see it, the fighters over at GBP need to go to Bradley. He owes them nothing.

Bottom line: You take guaranteed money over uncertainty in the fight game. Bradley's job is to fight. Its up to the promoters to find opponents that can justify the money that they are paying him. If Top Rank runs out of opponents, either they need to work with other promoters or take losses by paying Bradley too much money for easy fights.
Bradley is still not a big draw and the network still has the responsibility of putting out quality fights that people actually want to see. If that were the case then Golden Boy fighters could play hardball on him knowing he has virtually no dance partners in Top Rank.

Otherwise the investment just becomes a money pit. Top Rank and HBO paying him a lot more than he's worth just so that he doesn't jump ship. With Floyd's showtime deal even if Showtime is losing money on that deal, he brings their network a ton of publicity and other perks. Bradley would not have that kind of effect on HBO.

Like I said I understand why he did it because it's a good deal money wise.

But I'd imagine he could make some good money at GBP too especially down the line if he cleans up, plus a Mayweather fight, and lots of fresh interesting match ups.

Take the names of the fighters I posted there..Mix and match them, you'd get different winners bro..I don't believe any of these guy's to be head and shoulder better then the other guy..That goes for Bradley and Pac as well..The only guy I think is head and shoulder better is Mayweather..That's just cause his track rec..I think all these guy's can lose to the other..So let's stop trying to act as if GBP stable are such better fighters..It's deeper I'll give ya that..(In my Nancy Grace voice)Better I'm not buying it buddy..

Oh and believe me the landscape will change..The money will dictate that it does..
I disagree. Provo isn't all he's cracked up to be and Bradley fighting like an idiot doesn't make him any better than what he is. Rios is horrible and would lose to any world class fighting, Alvarado is a lower on the totem poll then Rios. Abregu is probably the 2nd best off the four and thats saying something...

Can't disagree with Tim's reasoning, although history shows he surely would have gotten a fight with floyd. But the man has a family and $6 mil in the hand beats $8 mil in the bush anyday.

I can't knock the man for thinking like he does. Hopefully he doesn't get stuck at TR and fight recycled fights over and over. I think he may regret signing this down the line but he's getting paid and providing. Best of luck to him

Yes. He would make more vs. Rios and Alvarado. WAY more.
His value will significantly decrease when he takes a loss. Which will likely be in his next fight. His luck can't last forever.

Plus you don't really know that they would do that with Bradley at GBP nor how much he'd make.

He'd make north of a Million for a Garcia or Broner fight for example most likely.
He'd make north of 2mill to fight Rios Alvarado Abregu Vargas Guerrero(if he comes over)Prov..You see dude,he'd make north of 4mill to fight Marquez..His options are more lucrative with TR..

Never said he was a draw.

The fact that he is NOT a draw is FURTHER reason to take the guaranteed money that Top Rank is paying him to sign an extension. And you're right, the network has that responsibility. So do the promoters. But not the fighters. Their job is to fight whoever is placed in front of them.

This is sad. We will never see Bradley vs Mayweather unless Mayweather goes against his rules and fights a TopRank fighter. Which he won't because if he does it will seem like he was really ducking Pacman all these years and using TR/ARUM as an excuse.

This topics been beat to death though. Yes GBP has the far better stable, and there are more fights the fans would like to see there....but he wants the money for easier fights and it's fine he has a family....no knocking it from me. I just don't want to hear why doesn't Bradley and X fighter fight down the road when most of the big name WWs are in GBP and why were stuck with Bradley vs Rios.
