Pedro Garcia is a guy you can respect, Robert Garcia, is a push over trainer, nobody respects this guy he is a guy who just lets you do whatever you want. if you were a fighter would you want a guy who is acting like your bro like some thug with all that immature cussing and clowning in the gym while eating cheetos? or a serious man, who is respectable, professional and doesn't play that childish crap and makes sure you eat right and don't screw around.

I expect a trainer to be professional. Garcia even tried to play victim on Freddie Roach, when HBO showed it Garcia even said he wasn't going to leave the gym **** them even before Roach came in, dude is unprofessional his time was up and it was obvious he was being a douche on purpose. That was his way of getting under Roach skin by being difficult.

I can't respect Garcia, his training camp is like some high school PE gym class where the teacher just sits back while other guys do the mitts with his fighters and they just hit the bag and spar, he just sits on his fat ass eating food and drinking soda.

Thats all I see Garcia do, eating junk food on video when he is being interviewed by Elie.

He isn't insulting imho, he's speaking his truth from his point of view. Could he have stated it better or more artfully, clearly, but he's a trainer in a boxing gym, what the **** do you expect? There's jealousy in the Spanish speaking community and in the African American community as well, simply because people look the same or even sound the same doesn't mean they have the same allegiances.

I don't see it as a big deal, nationality wars have been going on forever and it is what it is. Puerto Ricans and Mexicans, English and Americans...etc etc. I hear worse on the daily. However, considering they were making such a deal about Freddie Roach it does come across as a bit ironic.

And the subtitles and the way it was edited makes it seem more dramatic than it really is.
