Guys I been saying it for a while, Robert Garcia has to be one of the worst overhype trainers ever. He gets credit for training Mikey, but his father is the one who trained Mikey, Robert only works the corner of Mikey on fight night.
Robert also worked the corner of Nonito only on fight night, he doesn't train him full camp.
Robert also has the worst gameplans in boxing, look at his strategy, all he says is go forward throw combos. wtf?
Also who would want him as a trainer? give me a trainer who is mature and respectable someone I know I can't clown on, Roberts fighters dont even really respect him they clown on him in camp and he talks like a unruly street kid with all that cussing in camp. Its funny how when he was just starting out he never cussed he even ad a sign no cussing in the gym, now he is cussing in front of little kids, no class he idiolizes Brandon Rios a man who is younger than him by years.Comment

The way he was cheerleading Rios in a post-Abril interview was disgusting. Everyone but Brandon and a couple of his staunchest supporters thought he not only lost that fight, but lost big. It's an embarrassment for a boxing "professional" to act that way. I can understand Rios behaving that way. He's a fighter and an idiot. But Garcia? He should have stayed shut. It's like the old saying goes: "Better to remain quiet and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Robert has indeed removed all doubt.Comment
