In Bob's defense, he did try if I recall. Vanes just declined fights most of the times. If I remember correctly, I could be wrong, but I think it was Vanes who was rejecting fights left and right. I'm pretty sure he rejected Angulo, and rejected a Lara rematch for the final eliminator.

Yeah that's why I never really took him seriously but I think as far as the Angulo fight, It was more Vanes who talked his way into the fight whining on twitter and what not, only to back out once Angulo agreed. I don't know the details of what really went down but that's the sense I was left with.
