This guy has 6 losses .. He basically lost like 20 % of his fights .. Why should a champion fight him instead of a fight that people really wanna see .....GTFOH !!!!!

never seen this guy fight,of course we all prefer to see gamboa vs Garcia,i would like it to be at 130,garcia looked skinny at weigh in,i think 130 is perfect for him and also for gamboa, although gamboa didn't look that good in his last fight,it's fair to say he'll train hard for a mikey fight,a lot of fighters say they always train 100%,but I think you train harder for certain fighters, not only harder but differently too, like mikey said to beat a guy with speed you need good timing and that he would work on that during training,so it would be different than with burgos,i think we would see the best of both fighters, training hard and a good fight I hope

In some cases, losses can be deceptive. All of his losses (aside from his last one in 2011) were decision losses in 2006 and before.

He's undefeated in the USA and went 4-0 last year and fought on ESPN twice, one of the times KO'ing an undefeated prospect Jonathan Maicelo.

Styles make fights, kind of similar to how Angulo has some losses but with his relentless style he would be a tough out for anybody, even at this point. I'm not saying Nugaev would beat Garcia, but he had a nice year last year and worked his way into the sanctioning body rankings.

He's very fan friendly and a fight with Garcia would be pretty exciting, plus Garcia has been on the canvas before. Also to the bolded part, you can look at it as similar to Danny Garcia-Mauricio Hererra fight. It's OKAY for a champ to take some stay-busy/tune up fights for a bigger fight at some points.

That said, Mikey Garcia would outclass him and win a fun fight, IMO.

You bring up some good points .. That said there's No way this guy should get the fight over Gamboa .. Not when they have been calling each other out and the fans seem to want to see the match up .. This guy should get a couple more wins to make up for those 6 L's 1 D and wait his turn..

Oh, I definitely want to see Garcia-Gamboa, first and foremost. That's the fight for both of them right now and we all want to see that.

I was just saying if Gacria-Nugaev ever happened I believe it would be a fun fight to watch and his record is a bit deceptive. But yeah, Garcia-Gamboa first, please

Sounds like he missed the quitjob in the Salido fight. And missed his fight vs Burgos.

You mean the one his corner ended because he was way ahead in and Salido wanted to fight dirty because he damn sure couldn't outclass Mickey?

Oh yeah, the fight versus Burgos where he made the fighter tentative because he is leaps and bounds better.
