I think a fight with Braehmer and Chilemba would help Kovalev prepare for Stevenson. Braehmer is a southpaw with decent power, and Chilemba is an awkward counter-puncher.

Well, he's 26-0 with a fairly modest 13 KOs, against some pretty spotty opposition. (Check Boxrec.) Though he does have an OK amateur background. The jury seems to be out on if he's been avoided, just hasn't had better fights work out, or if he's been protected for a payday. Few people have seen much of Agnew.

Kovalev himself hasn't had much decent competition until recently, but given Agnew's modest KO record and modest opponents, I'm not exactly thinking that Kovalev will lose this.

Yeah, I saw that he beat Mack, but that's not exactly telling me much besides he can probably box.
