Damn, that's painful to read. I thought that, beyond the boxing persona, he was probably at least a decent guy. But, as someone who has been very involved in fundraising for various charities, reading "what have they done for me" is hugely disappointing. How small minded. I want to still like him but that's hard to get over.

Do you think these people care for charity? It's good publicity for 99% of the famous.

The real people who give a damn are the small people who work for charities that are 100% donations towards the cause. Some volunteer and are not paid at all. They actually care and it has meaning.

You can say what you want...it's true they're not a smart group of people on average....but neither is much of the south in America...nor the inner cities. Unless you're from an upper-middle to upper class suburb the odds are you're not either.
