Originally posted by Freedom2014But Wlad wasn't fighting pro very long, the numbers are misleading because he fought so OFTEN.
Wladimir fought 16 times in his first 14 months as a pro, when he was age 20 and 21.
Klitschko won his first world title in 2000 at age 24 before he reached 4 years as a pro. He was fighting decent opposition by the latter part of his third year.
Gary Russell Jr is now in his SIXTH year as a pro and will turn 26 in June.

Not a great fight by any means but this is a good card for a Thursday night event.
Ortiz/Collazo
Arnett/Gomez
Russell...
It's time for Russell to step up in competition. It's long overdue. His hand problems may be the cause of his slow progression up the ranks. He should've at least fought Ponce and Salido by now. Everyone fights them on their way up. I still think he has promise but he's wasting precious time. Guys with his speed are only at their peak for a short amount of time.

russell is fast as all get out, but i never thought the was a real blue chip prospect. his arms are f#cking short, and he has the hands of a young girl.
