But yeah, it's time to put up or shut up.

As for him being another Berto though, that's a stretch. Right now nobody knows for a fact how GGG's going to fare when he finally decides to step to that next level.
Good post... I think his last few wins were a step up in competition but he really needs to step it up...

    • Golovkin aint no duck but Ward is right and h team Triple-G need to keep SOG's name out of their mouths until they are ready to step up for that fight.

Yep agreed. People rip on Ward all the time for talking about other guys but Andre doesn't really say **** until his name comes out of their mouth. I've heard Ward's name come out of camp GGG several times. Same thing with Froch.

Of course Ward is going to respond.

Nothing but an ultimate can crusher.
Ward will expose that overhyped ducking pusy anyday.

Under normal circumstances no. But Froch's fanbase is maybe the most irrational and ignorant in the sport. So any chance to see him get his ass kicked and see them devastated is welcome over here.

I don't see how anybody in their right mind can defend GGG's level of competition. This guy was a decorated amateur. He's been a pro for eight years and his best win is Macklin. That's pathetic when comepared to fellow amatuer stars such as Rigondeaux and Lomachenko. In Rigondeaux's 12th fight, he fought a guy considered one of the 3-4 best fighters in the sport. Lomachenko is fighting arguably the best fghter in his division in only his second pro fight. And it ain't like GGG is a spring chicken. This cat is almost 32yrs old. So I don't understand spoon feeding this muthaf.ucka. I love his skill set and his power is legit. But its something very suspect about this sum-b1tch. There's no logical explination for him having his ass wiped at this stage of a career nearly 30 fights deep.

Nah, I don't buy that. Froch had no problem calling Golovkin out on national TV and unlike Ward actually expressed wanting the fight. I've watched Ward's responses when asked about Golovkin, and it's always the same reluctance. It's nothing to do with weight classes, Ward just didn't want the fight and HBO didn't want it for him either.

In cases between between fighters in different divisions, it should up to the smaller guy to call out the bigger guy. It should be up to Golovkin to put up the same stink about fighting fighting Ward as he has about Martinez.

Ward has nothing to do next. Zero options. If Golovkin called him out, there would be absolutely nothing stopping it from happening. Send them an offer. Then tell the whole world after that Ward is ducking him if he doesn't' accept like he does for every other opponent that refuses a Golovkin offer. Instead he'll fight a 154 pounder next while claiming he has to clear up the 160 division before fighting Ward.
Team Golovkin has made it clear they're staying at 160. Why? because they've put up the numbers for HBO to back him financially and have no longer any need to go outside their weight class. They offered Geale the Monaco fight so it's not about 154 fighters either, it's HBO who want Kirkland. Macklin and Stevens weren't 154lbers either.

The ploy was that he's willing to fight anybody at 168, not that he's willing to fight 168. Bums like Rodriguez are acceptable. Ward is not.
Ward was never an option because HBO didn't want the Ward fighting Golovkin. This was made clear since the middle of last year.

He never said he wants to fight Golovkin, even now. He's talking now because he knows Golovkin has committed to middleweight. I like Ward, he would beat Golovkin imo, but that's the truth, he never wanted the bout.
