Some of ya'll GGG fanboys are looking pathetic right about now. Ya'll are in damage control mode basically for no reason. Ever since the GGG hype train started, it has been we'll documented that he was supposedly willing to fight anyone from 54-68. Clearly, he's changed his tune. And he's entitled to do that. No ones saying he's a ducker. Hell, I wish more of these guys would hold down a division like back in the old days. That said, it doesn't change that fact that GGG's "anyone from 54-68" would be more accurately put if it were "anyone from 54-68 named Floyd Mayweather or Canelo Alvarez." And no amount of spin is gonna change that.

He said his GGG team isn't ready and he is willing to fight anybody! Ward has stated on numerous occassion he would love to fight GGG but Sanchez/GGG said that they are not ready to fight Ward now!

      Shall I link you?

I'm sure Ward will be happy fighting Golovkin instead of moving up in weight.

But how can he, Golovkin's seemingly changed his mind about 168.

So did Ward take him up on his offer?

HBO are backing Golovkin now, he doesn't need to fight outside his preferred weight class.

Now that the #2 fighter is calling him out GGG is too small. Last year GGG said he was willing to face" Canelo, Floyd, Froch, Sergio, and Chavez jr, all people from 154 to 168!

Now that Ward is throwing his name out there he is now too "small" for Ward?
Stop saying this. Ward is not calling him out, and has never called him out. Ward doesn't want the fight, and never has.

I already said about the FMJ stuff, there are other threads where you can discuss the little man, this is a Golovkin/Ward thread.

GGG is a small middleweight, he has no business moving up to 168. But Ward has fought at 160 before.
He wasnt saying he was going down to 160 to fight him, its the way its worded. They were distinguishing GGG as the 160lb champ. I thought the same thing at first but pretty sure it's just how it's worded that makes it sound like that.

I'm not, he calls Froch, calls Chavez but when Golovkin is mentioned it's "down the line", "in a year's time" or "ask them if they want it".

Ward has never sounded keen on a Golovkin fight and apparently has no genuine interest in a Golovkin fight at this point in time.

                  Yeah he would.

He'll do anything to stay away from 175. Golovkin's a fight he'll take, less risk high reward.

Seems Golovkin's teams less keen on it to be honest.

Ward (on Golovkin, the Ring interview on January 26, 2014): "... If he continues to win and if I continue to win, in a year from now is a bigger fight..."

                      Then what did he say?

(Ward: "I'm going to end my career at the heavyweights")
