Ward is staying at 168 to keep fights like this, Groves, and unforunately Chavez Jr open to him, which are far more important for building his name than Kovalev, Stevenson, Pascal, etc.

I like Andre !! He's a good man a good fighter, undefeated, not sour, straight up a #1 American and Church man !
He made his points and they sounded good. GGG did say he was OPEN to the WORLD at 154 to 168, I have no reservation to say that he is that he still IS !
BUT
GGG made it Plain a month ago they were zeroing in on the 160 division and would take of the other later.
IF you call that ducking you don't know good ducking , look below for good ducking. vvvvvvvvvv

I don't understand the logic behind needing to clear the 160 division before Ward. Tons of fighters have moved up in weight without clearing the division their in because the lack of opportunities. Since when did it become some type of requirement? And it's not as if he has to stay at 168 if he fights ward. He can still easily come back down to 160 after Ward and continue to chase those fights. That's better than fighting 154 pounders while waiting for someone to step up. Golovkin will fight the Rodriguezes and Chavezes of the world at 168, but not Ward?
As for those saying Ward needs to come down, Golovkin is the one who said he'll fight anyone at 168. Ward is the champion, not Golovkin. Why would anyone sacrifice themselves to fight a random paper champion?

The original Golovkin quote on "I'll fight anybody"... It dates from January 16, 2013...
http://espn.go.com/blog/boxing/post/...aims-to-thrill
"Right now my focus is 160; I want to be the best at middleweight," Golovkin said. "Next, it doesn't matter for me. I think next fight, [if] I'm going down to 154, I don't know with who, but it doesn't matter to me. Seriously, it doesn't matter. I just want to fight, and maybe in the future I'm going to 168. I think for me it's good to find good fights there in the future. I like Andre Ward, Carl Froch. There's a lot out there [at 168 pounds]."
Well, that's what Golovkin actually said for E S P N...

Normally boxers fans say their guy would beat yours, now today its Ward should move up. lol. Why dont the "MOST FEARED" fans want any part of Ward?
At least with the Floyd vs Pac threads those guys at least think their guys would win. LOL All that trash talking and now they are thinking up any excuse.
these guys are hilarious.

GGG is a highly skilled fighter with power. He is also cheap labor that gets good ratings. HBO gets the same rating for the $600k they pay him as SHO does paying Broner or Garcia far more. Thats incredible **** for the buck, especially for a network that is reducing its boxing budget. DOn't expect HBO to risk this anytime soon.
GGG, as good as he appears, isn't good enough to beat Ward. He hasn't fought anyone with anything near what Ward brings into the ring. Ward would be heavier, faster and just as skilled, if not more so.
HBO best bet is to feed Froch to GGG to give him a credible win.
