Floyd vs Khan agreed according to Mirror

Amir Khan is set to announce this week that his long-awaited showdown with Floyd Mayweather has finally been given the green light, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

A deal has been agreed for the 27-year-old to fight ‘Money’ Mayweather in a mega-bucks bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 3.

Sunday People Sport understands that Khan has already signed his end of the deal – which will net him around £3.5million – and that Mayweather is expected to put pen to paper on his side of the contract following his return to the United States from a promotional trip to South Africa.

The fight will be promoted by Golden Boy Promotions along with Mayweather and Khan’s own companies.

Mayweather, 36, holds the WBC’s light-middleweight and welterweight titles, with the fight likely to take place in the heavier division.

It will be a tough test for Khan, who has fought only once at welterweight, and not least because Mayweather is acknowledged as the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet by most observers after Manny Pacquiao lost to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

We all knew this was coming but damn lmao I still can't believe Khan got the fight. After getting blasted the f**k out and then beating Carlos Molina (bwahaha) and then life & death with Julio Diaz...that gets you the most coveted fight in the sport?

    Just incredible.

Mayweather hasn't even signed yet, it says in the article

So nothing has changed, it's just a misleading story

ahh it's probably true, can't see it going any other way

The only interesting aspect is khan isn't a slow flat footed fighter, but it's still a cherry pick, and disregards everything he says about Pac and confirms it as BS

Pac was right when he said even if he does leave TR there's still no guarantee that Floyd will take the fight

so who did ortiz (after he had already quit against maidana), guerrero and hatton fight before they fought mayweather..? exactly.. khan is the best opponent out there for mayweather besides pacquiao and since pac got ko'd by marquez maybe khan is the best choice at this point. what you want mayweather to fight maidana? a guy khan already beat the hell out of? get outta here

Oh yeah. You're the dude whose been swinging off Khan's nuts here lately and getting severely butthurt at everybody for clowning on this match up. No need for the butthurt, brah. But if you must please call

Of course they agreed, Floyd wants an easy payday and Khan wants to make better money for getting knocked out.

After Floyd knocks him out members here will start threads how Mayweather's power improved because of the "great" win.
