Holyfield didn't hold Tyson that fight, he actually went toe to toe with him. Sure he had a few subtle headbutts but that wasn't the reason why Tyson lost. Tyson just couldn't fight going back.

It will be interesting to see if the same applies to GGG

Lol cmon, that fight was a hold fest, mostly initiated by Holyfield, people have some warped memory of it. It also somehow won FOTY that year and i dont know how. It was a hold fest that ended in the KO of a Tyson.

If you're going to eventually try and turn this into, "Kirkland might beat Golovkin pushing him backwards," I guarantee that would not happen. Kirkland will get slaughtered quickly unless he somehow ends up running long enough to survive a few more rounds.

Oh you better believe thats the agenda behind this. Trust me. He's as transparent as Larry when it comes to Floyd threads. Lol

Truth is we don't really know. We just have to wait and see.

I know I'll get laughed at, but as you know I really don't mind being in the minority around here.

Sure, Kirk is a prospect, especially if they fight at 154. I think if he makes it out of the 2nd round and gets the oil in the engine running, I feel he can make a lot of posters on here cry. I know Kirk's not going backwards and I know GGG likes to fight going forward. It will be an exciting battle of wills. I feel if Kirk makes it past the 2nd round, I'm curious to see how GGG takes it from someone who can hit just as hard if not harder (according to Garcia who sparred both).

But it's not just Kirk, I feel there are several fighters at 168 and possibly one at 160 that have the ability to push GGG back and make the fight interesting.

I have to apologize for not drinking the Kool-Aid and being completely sold and not believing GGG is some unbeatable God. Sure, he has the ability to win me over, but he's going to have to do more than beat Stevens, Macklin and Ouma. I'm sorry.

GGG whooped James' biological father... Nobuhiro Ishida. As a matter of fact, after that fight he went and changed his name to James N. Ishida or so I've heard.

At 160 no one has really hurt him, maybe at 168 somebody can hurt him. Until then him backing up is like him trying to take the sting off of those punches thrown.
