Paulie, Bernstein, Roy Jones even Kellerman are way better commentators than Ward

I like him, even when he says something like "he simply has to go in there and simply get the win"

His part-time HBO gig is one of the main reasons I never see him leaving HBO. As a fighter, I mean. He's already on the record as saying that he's looking at an exit strategy from the sport (albeit not anytime soon), and you just know that as soon as he hangs it up -- he'll have a nice warm seat awaiting him in the HBO booth. Dudes love transitioning from their respective sports to the booth. It keeps them close to their sport, get paid well enough, and it's comes easy to them.

The team as a whole is pretty bad. Max and Andre especially. Roy is the only one that has anything of note to say.

That's a typical Ward comment. He's Andre Ward, Master of the Obvious.

Tough to say whether he is more boring as a fighter or as a commentator. He literally adds nothing to the broadcast.
