The much-awaited opportunity for “Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao to avenge his widely criticized split decision loss to undefeated Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley in June 9, 2012 has arrived, as both men signed the contract for an April 12 rematch at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz joined Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and president Todd duBeof in announcing that the undefeated two-division world champion Bradley had agreed to face eight division world champion and Philippine congressman Pacquiao and that Bradley had also agreed to sign a contract extension with Top Rank. Pacquiao will reportedly receive $20 million while Bradley settled for $6 million with Pacquiao accepting less than in their first fight.

Koncz confirmed that “there were discussions about an extension of Pacquiao’s contract” which lapses at the end of this year but insisted “we did not sign an extension.”

Oh oh, somebody will retire this year or going for vacation. Pacman out of contract.

I guess he's going to try to pursue Floyd after his contract expires. We will see.

This is good news I guess and a good move for Pac...He may be loyal and respectful of Arum for promoting him to the top but that doesn't mean he is better off with him.

This opens up better options for Pac and future fights, so it is a good thing just a shame it will come about near the end of his career. He will be gone not long after good fights open for him which is a shame.

Tim is the WBO champion plus he signed a contract extension, he's not getting paid enough. He should at least get 10 mil.

$20mil for a guy that is 1-2 is a freaking joke. Bradley should be getting $20mil and Pacroid should be getting no more then $800k. The guy hasn't done anything deserving of $20mil other then duck Floyd & juice up for his fights. But I'm betting that $20mil is just for show and he'll be lucky to see $1million after ole Rob Arum finish with his deductions. I know one thing for sure and that's Pacroid better pay this great country our taxes. Tired of his butt coming here making money then running off tk the Philippines without paying the taxes we Americans have to pay.

Disappointed to hear that Bradley signed an extension. Alway thought that was why this fight was not agreed to in the first place, would hope his extension isn't a complex one. One where he can buy is contract out at some point of the contract.

Good that there's no extension, I guess that should mean a step closer to floyd-manny, of course if manny beats Tim, which will be difficult.
