I'm glad to see someone who does see this as a competitive battle.
LP is no slouch...
The Garcia team knows LP will bring it, and again even though Lucas dropped him, he does have a good beard for that weight class.
LPs slick enough not to be like the rest of the "Swift" opponents, to stand in front of him, and lit him low blow him or hook him to death.
Also, will Swift want to fight in the trenches w/LP? Will Danny want that type of fight with LP?, or will he become the boxer, & LP become the stalker.
Both are slow starters, and it could be a chess match....
let's just hope GB get's them to sign!

I just mean he should avenge his loss to Matthysse before he'd be a worthwhile opponent for Danny. Right now, IMO Peterson would be a backwards step. He would be an acceptable opponnet if Danny didn't have any other options. But right now. I don't see it as a fight that does anything for Danny's career.

But Danny is fighting Herrera next. I think we can agree that LP would be a better opponent. Pete looked good in his return fight and would probably look even better in the Garcia fight. The only two guys I have interest in seeing against Garcia @140 are Peterson and Provodnikov.

GB will match Danny against inferior comp.
And they will ride it out until he moves up to 147....
If "Swift" is the king of 140, and the 2nd coming of "Hawk" Pryor, wouldn't you think LP is the obstacle in his way, or will this be like Manny & Floyd. The fight that never was????

I would much rather see pete-danny, than danny vs herrera


I think danny would beat peterson via close decision, and i think it would be a snoozefest in parts, but also very exciting at other times,,,

Peterson wont charge in like khan and lucas, so danny will not have alot of opportunities to counter, which should make it kinda boring at times,,

This fight should happen over the summer

Danny's schedule should look like this

March fight herrera in PR
July fight peterson in unification
nov fight lucas rematch
may 2015 floyd

If that's the case you're exactly right. If he's staying it 40, there's no need for him to fight anyone not named Matthysse, Provodnikov, or Peterson. Personally, I'd rather see him fight Provo. And I suspect that's where the Herrera fight is coming into play. A pointless fight that they're gonna try and sell as Danny fighting the guy that beat the new nightmare of the division. But personally, I have no interest in that fight at 40. Really don't have much interest in it at 40 or 47. But its easier to stomach as Danny's 47 debut with Floyd coming in Sept.

Ohhhh, you are saying Peterson has to clean up the Matthysse mess? I read that wrong, thought you were one of those madmen who though that Lucas beat Garcia or some ****.

Na, I don't think Peterson has to avenge the Matthysse loss, eh is the only other guy worthy of Garcia's time in the division.

I think Provodnikov is a lil more worthy of a shot at Danny than Peterson is right now.
