Comments Thread For: Lamont Peterson Bounces Back, Decisions Dierry Jean

DC Armory, Washington, District of Columbia - Coming back from a brutal knockout at the hands of Lucas Matthysse, IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16KOs) bounced back with a twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated mandatory challenger Dierry Jean (25-1, 17KOs). The scores were 115-113, 116-112 and 118-111.

After four rounds where Jean had the advantage, Peterson came roaring with punches in the fifth round - landing big shots to the head and body. Peterson continued the trend in the sixth and cut the right eye of Jean. Peterson was pounding away in the seventh, but it was Jean who came back with some hard punches to stage a rally in the first half of the eight. Peterson started coming back in the ninth and continued to press the action in the final three rounds.

Usually, a fighter who suffered a brutal knockout, gets stopped again in his next bout, now Peterson joins Manny Pacquiao who bounces back with an impressive win.

Mike Alvarado can comeback too from a TKO loss to Provodnikov, Peterson vs Alvarado next please. Lamont has slim chances against Danny Garcia.

You can't compared Alvarado to Peterson. Alvarado was in 3 consecutive wars.
