That is the way it is.
I agree with your point. That is the way it is and will be.

And it is not an insult to the islanders because Puerto Rico considers people who live and breath that culture of theirs as like family and not one can really understand that from the outside because it is a different world, like the US is a different world, different life. Some say blood is thicker than water, but culture is thicker than blood when that blood has never been a part of that culture. They can say, "sure we will like and respect you (Garcia) and wish you well against anyone else but we will NOT support you if you fight one of our own and that means whatever support we offer you is going to be limited because we hold a place in our hearts for our own".

I completely understand and its not an insult. Its just the way it is and I'm sure its like this in every country. Chavez vs De la hoya was similar to this correct?

Exactly! Like Trinidad vs Camacho and Rosario vs Camacho. But the good news is each guy no matter what where he is from, what origins he has, he will always find devoted fans, but he cannot expect them to come from a nationality he has not been cultured into vs a fighter who is a part of the culture. I think Garcia is elite in his division and he has proven himself. I have the same respect for Cotto and Wilfredo Gomez, though I like others more. Personally, my favorites are Wilfred Benitez, Edwin Rosario, and one of the best ever that time has sadly forgotten, Sammy Serrano. Sammy is about as underrated a champ as I have EVER seen. 14 ***ing defenses of his title and no one talks about him!! Sad!

I just mentioned Wilfredo Benitez and that reminds me, if anyone wants to give, he has a fund I believe it accepts PayPal to help him with his expenses. He is a worthy charity. Maybe google his name with the word fund. I gave a little a few years ago...cant remember the web site now though.

Swift is going to be hyped fighting in front of his people. Nice progression in his career.

Danny Garcia, the future of boxing...what a joke. Angel is delusional.
