Santana/Lundy is a good fight for both fighters, both guys are contenders and should be fighting each other. These are the fights that need to be made enough with protecting every fighter. This fight shows who belongs and who doesn't.
Santana is still a prospect to me. He only has 15 fights, is coming off a tough loss and doesn't have a ranking. Lundy has Abril, Molina, Beltran, Diaz, Postol and Ajose on his record. This is a sharp move up in competition for Santana. I'm not saying that Lundy is a great fighter, just that he's much more seasoned and it's probably a bit premature for this match-up to occur.

Agreed on all points. I'm not getting the timing of this move up at all. I'm wondering if the logic is, now that Santana has lost his "zero," to get his career back in gear ASAP. It could backfire...or work like a charm. We'll know soon enough; the Lundy fight is in less than a month.

lundy is a compelling man. he's in fun fights. his style is TV friendly, and if he could win these biggish fights he'd be on the networks constantly. he will look you in the eye and tell you that he'd beat floyd mayweather and manny pacquiao on the same night.

hammerin hank woul dbe a great ppv undercard. pay him 30-50 grand, and put him in there with a puncher. great fight undercard fight.

His fight with Santana will be one to watch. Angelo is an aggressive fighter. I think Santana got overconfident versus Mamadjanov and paid the price. Lundy is going to be a real test, especially at this stage in Angelo's career.

As a boxing fan this is a very intriguing fight. But I don't know if this is the smartest thing to do with Santana coming off of a loss.

Very interesting main event on @SHOsports' ShoBox on 2/21 is set: @hammerinhank30 vs. Angelo Santana #boxing @StephenEspinoza @DeBlaz

                      WOW
Dangeorus fight for Santana to come back from. Lundy is a very good boxer with a very questionable chin... but he's shown that he can box.
Very interesting...I just looked up Santana's Boxrec and found that he's supposed to be fighting Mark Davis (18-0) on 2/7. So...did that fight fall through? Or is Angelo fighting Lundy only two weeks later?
