Good post! Some Manny fans don't realize that Marquez was just as important to sell those fights as Manny. Bradley is a draw now after the Provo fight, and beating Marquez. Let's see if Bradley gets 50/50 or 60/40. Bradley definitely deserves it. If I was Bradley I wouldn't settle for less than 50/50 of everything. In fact Bradley might do better fighting Provo again!

Roy Jones??? He needed Trinidad and Tarver for his biggest PPV numbers.

The only person I can think of, is Oscar Delahoya who did CONSISTENTLY good with everyone he fought on PPV.
All of the PPV stars you mentioned never had to be supported with
expensive undercard fights. They carry the whole event on their own.

In comparison to Mayweather, none of those guys were PPV stars! They were HBO stars, and great boxers (no disrespect to any of them), but Floyd has taken the PPV game to a different level.

Mike Tyson and Oscar Delahoya had GREAT undercards, however it didn't change the facts that they were great PPV salesman.

Roy Jones didn't outsell Mayweather on his WORST PPV numbers.

And Pacquiao being the fighter of the decade and the greatest fighter of all time, should have been able to sell Clottey fight right??

Was Clottey not a REAL Black guy unlike Gayweather?? Thats what I remember fans saying.

It will do like 700-800K buys and lose Showtime millions. They will force him to fight the only logical boxer out there.....Pac. If he and his team refuse, they'll void his contract and he'll be left out in the cold.

Very true...I think May weather boasts too much about his numbers though, as if he was the only one that brought the buys.. Easy to see his last 2 on PPV were vastly different in terms of sales and that's because of the opponent selected..
Oscar fought everyone, that's why his numbers were great. He never ducked anyone that I can think of?

Exactly, You could put Butterbean on a Tyson under card or a parking attendant and people would be lining up to watch the PPV event. HE sold the event all by himself. Floyd relies on Hispanic holidays and Hispanic opponents/undercards to sell his events.

Pacquiao is never supported with strong undercard fights. He carries the whole even on his own. When he fights, fans celebrate. It's like Mexican fiesta. They neither root for
him nor his opponent. Fans just want to be entertained. In Mayweather's case, fans watch to see him lose. (So I guess Pacman needs more haters.)
They were rooting for Hoya when he fought the fake PPV queen. Even Foreman was disgusted by the way he ran the entire fight. Hoya lost by SD. Fans were disappointed and wanted a rematch. Floyd turned them down, adding insult to injury. Since then, Hoya's fans followed him around to see him lose.

I disagree, I don't think Delahoyas fan base is the reason for Mayweathers hate.

I think it's a little bit of the Hatton and Pacquiao fan base.
Delahoyas fan base seems to be more of the Marquez fan base, in which understand the Counter Puncher mentality.
