After realizing boxing wasn't working B-Hop would resort to roughing Ward up. B-Hop would end up with a narrow split decision.

This isn't even a comparison, a prime Hopkins was a far more dynamic fighter, he moved better and could transition from defence to attack at least twice as better than Ward. Ward fights like a late 30s Hopkins, trying to spoil more than box, a prime Hopkins, especially in the period between 99-2003 knew how to box, move and punch. Yes he still spoiled but he didn't allow his work rate to drop too much or look to be as dirty as Ward is now.

I repeat, Ward fights like an old Hopkins, whereas a primed Hopkins was a different fighter, not vastly different but vastly superior.

Ward & Hopkins KO the audience, putting the bored viewers to sleep.

I'm a way bigger Hopkins fan than I'm a Ward fan but I voted for Ward UD. I could easily see Ward doing a lot better than Jermaine Taylor did to Hopkins. I know he wasn't at his prime when he fought Taylor but he had no business making that fight so close.

this would be one hell of a boring fight. it would make jones - poopkins 2 look like a firefight.

i think ward takes it. he's a naturally larger man. he'd be stronger in the clinches, and his feet are just a bit faster.

he's fighting an all time great, so i can't be too confident.

Hopkins was a much better fighter than Ward.

At a catch-weight I'd bet on prime Hopkins, he's craftier, more relaxed and more difficult to read than Ward. And even though Ward is strong and can get physical on the inside, Hopkins is sneakier and more vicious.

                    Hopkins SD.
