No disrespect yoz, but the actual promoter is likely to have a better idea of probable demand, no?

Groves said on a SkySports interview yesterday that he isn't even asking for 50/50, he just wants a good payday but he doesn't want all the stipulations that Hearn was apparently asking for and knowing how duplicitous promoters can be, I can imagine some of Hearn's terms.

He probably asked for options which is standard when you aren't the mandatory. Groves wasn't even the real mandatory in the first fight, Hearn managed to manuveur him into the spot with the IBF. He should be more grateful.

Groves will just have to accept 15% now and no options.

great decision by the IBF ... it's pointless to say here but if u fanboys could put your bias aside for the moment you'd see that. If you believe Froch can win u should be happy with this decision, so he can get a legit win over Groves. if you re unsure and would rather cling to the dodgy stoppage (like froch apparently) then I'd expect pretty much the cry baby reaction ye are having now.

In a nutshell IBF made the right decision and everybody apart from froch and a few die hard fans of his are happy with it. ... Good job IBF

And its a promoter's job to 'hype' a fight.

I bet my account this doesn't sell out Wembley stadium.

The reason people aren't happy with it is because of the inconsistency. Different rules for different fighters and different situations. The IBF are a joke

why u so down on the fight? It's a good fight (a lot better than chavez jnr who has to go life and death with the likes of Vera) I guess if you don't want to see good fights and just see your favorite fighters to pad their resumes with names it makes sense but other than that...

I agree they are inconsistent and sometimes they don't make the right decision but isn't one good decision like this (that coincidentally makes the majority of fans happy) better than no good decision?

Its not a bad fight, don't get me wrong. When it's announced, i'll be looking forward to it.

As for fighters' 'padding out their resumes', i'm not sure what you're on about. Elucidate, please.
