I don't think its a particularly good decision. In most people's opinion, the stoppage was early but they are actually questioning the integrity of the referee which opens a huge can of worms considering the far worse stoppages that have occurred. Groves-Anderson was a worse stoppage.

Groves will just have to accept 15% now and no options.
Yes he did. Not the real mandatory.
Mandatories gets shifted all the time, it wasn't anything new. He was the next in line who could fight, it's as simple as that.

Groves was offered 25% according to Hearn yesterday. He said that either they reach a deal or it will go to purse bids. What will happen is that Groves is offered a little more money and they have a deal - with no options.

I bet my account this doesn't sell out Wembley stadium.
I don't believe for a second it will be held at wembley stadium. An outdoor arena is too expensive, tickets have to be cheaper - you run into too much trouble as a promotor.

I would take the O2 over any other arena.

It was comparable. Groves didn't throw much/anything back after taking that BIG right in round 9.

It quite clearly was. Groves was hurt, dropped and getting beat up. Then a round or 2 later, he gets on top for a period and the ref jumps in.

Strange thing is, as much as I wanted to see the rematch I also want Froch to get his chance to fight in Vegas - hell I might even go - because he deserves it.

All the build up, hype, talk, twitter, rejected offers, appeals, this, that, the other.. kind of turned me off a little bit.

Groves will at least be fighting for a title now. Froch could still go to Vegas which would be pretty awesome as well.

Isn't that pretty much what happened in the froch-groves fight? haha.

Why would Hearn offer him more money when the IBF ruling means he is only entitled to 15%? 25% was a great offer.
