froch is one of the better conditioned athletes in boxing. he stays fit year round. his performances of late haven't been a product of his not being in shape. they're a product of the hard punches he's taken in victory and defeat.

i also think you're overrating froch's power. he didn't stop anybody in the super six. he stopped bute and mack, and got the groves gift. otherwise, he hasn't stopped anybody since jermain taylor [who was himself shot.] bute has a crap chin, and was one of the most overrated fighter of the last 10 years. with a solid ref, liberado andrade would have a stoppage over him. mack not only ******, he was brought down to 168 for the first time in several years.

i'd love to see froch stop chavez jr. i don't think he will.
i actually don't think this fight has an iceberg's chance in hell of happening in vegas.
Carl Froch is in devastating shape.

Well perhaps. But a lot of people would say Froch looked as good as ever in his 3 fights before Groves - So I'm not really buying that. Groves was just a tough stylistic match-up for him.

And who did he fight in the super six? Abraham - had only been down once in his career, Kessler had never been down, Johnson has one of the best chins in the business, Andre ward - well he's andre ward. Dirrell - ran all night. These guys aren't exactly easy fighters to stop. They had a combined 1 stoppage loss in almost 200 fights. Look at his record before/after the super six - he virtually stopped everyone.

Before he entered the super six, he was known in the UK as a guy who had awesome power.

From your other points, I wouldn't say Taylor was shot. He came up to '68 and won an eliminator. Bute was #1 by Ring magazine, and well - Mack is mack. Not particularly good.

Carl Froch is a hard puncher, and JCCjr will be in for a suprise I think.

          Need evidence though.
          This basically ...
I'd imagine there is probably a lot of smokescreens and disinformation from both sides

you guys really love froch, man. i just love the "devastating shape."

there's nothing i can do for you if you think carl froch is some great puncher, or still in his prime [or that jermain taylor wasn't shot when he fought froch.]

Haha, I know. I choose my words carefully.

No I don't think he's a puncher in the true sense of the word, but he's a hard puncher. Not specifically precise, but he can get you going pretty quickly. And I don't think Jr will be able to withstand the punches - but time will tell I guess.

I just think he was past his best. Don't think he was 'shot'.

I think Froch got lucky in the first fight and that Groves pretty much schooled him in that fight, but this is fair enough.

Carl doesn't have to fight George immediately and it's not duck. As long he fights him after Chavez (whom he'll beat) that's more than fair from Carl.

Yes it did. You said Groves had learnt from the best fraudsters in the business remember.

Also, haven't you accused Haye of cherrypicking on multiple occassions for big money?

What is Froch doing with Chavez?

                      Get it?
