I don't understand what it is with this guy.
Isn't it enough to be the best/second best of your era? Why do you have belittle former greats and discredit what they did in order to put forward Wlad or Vitali as the best of all times?
What you don't get is that ATGness is determined not only by skill, but also how you win, when and against who.
No one in their right mind would accept that a guy who's best win is a part-time golfer and a fat guy with his feet seemingly nailed to the floor, is the best of all times.
These threads are getting out of hand really, and admittedly, I troll them for fun. But I always think that the thread starters usually just want a bit of trolling. But you seem to legitimately think this is true.Comment

Nope, I said that it makes Klitschko fans look bad, not Klitschkos themseves. Now get lost Leia, I really don't like talking to 28 year old ****** who call himself a "Jedi Vader".Comment

This thread still going...can someone tell me the point of going round in circles? All the replies are just baiting the OP to reply each time. Most of you have said you don't agree, why keep replying? You have your opinions and let the OP have his, constantly baiting is just gonna keep this going when it really shouldn't.
Let's just fairly overview this in a way everyone can agree - Vitali is a top 15-20 ATG - I don't care where you place him in there, if it's just inside the top 20 or even top 5 or even GOAT, it doesn't matter - everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Vitali gets into this list because he has beaten decent fighters (admittedly the competition or at least his resume could have been better had he not been injured for 4 years or if he had started boxing a little earlier in the 90s where he could have had the opportunity to face greats at or near their prime like Lewis, Tyson, Bowe and Holyfield, and if he didn't get bad luck in fights with injuries).
Alas, he didn't get a chance to do this but this doesn't mean his career was not impressive - he attained several excellent records, as outlined in this thread, which clearly suggest and show he would be competitive v any heavyweight in history, if you take into account his chin, unorthodox style, physical dimensions, and performance in the short time he was in with an ATG etc, this doesn't mean he would beat them or not, but it's fair to say he would be competitive. This is why it is difficult to truly place him in rank, he was a great champion in his own right but unproven due to some limitations in resume, that's fair enough if that's your view!
Strangely, people seem to rate Wlad as a better fighter or much better resume yet you trash most of his competition as bums, and he lost to two guys who Vitali destroyed, and Vitali would clearly have beaten Wlad's competition just as easily if not in better fashion? Also, isn't Wlad's resume recognised based on records and longevity, not necessarily quality of competition?
To conclude, instead of having this trash talk trolling match on this thread, allow everyone to have their own opinions, everyone just makes themselves look worse by constantly repeating same points - not everyone will agree with each other, that's just the subjective nature of sport, especially boxing.
And no need to trash or rate or disregard past ATG's, just have your own opinions and keep them, don't constantly argue or troll because others don't agree!Last edited by PainfromUkraine; 01-26-2014, 07:11 PM.Comment

Kirk Johnson.. Not Kevin.where i come from thats called cherrypicking. also peter never beat an all time great so i don't understand what you are even saying. tyson was completely shot so that doens't count and wlad was hitting the canvas in every other fight when sanders ko'd him for the only notable win of his career.
he didn't even stop johnson.....do you even watch the fights?
Is James Toney NOT an alltime great.. I don't need to make stuff up... I ONLY report on stuff that actually happened. Peter is still the last fighter to have Klitschko down on the canvas &has come the closest to beating a Klitschko in the last 10 years & was utterly destroyed by Klitschko.Comment
