see this is that ish im talkin about, I dunno the details but obviously cotto is being a diva about this whole situation and maybe some of Martinez too, what could possibly be the hold up? people jump on you know who about his ways of making fights but cotto can make demands and take forever to negotiate and its ok??? sure whatever! cotto is getting bashed no matter where the fight is or how much he gets paid so he just needs to agree to whatever and start training

Hopefully negotiations aren't being held back due to some ridiculous egotistic reasons, and if that's the case I hope everyone just sets their egos aside for once and they just get the fight done for the fans, who at the end of the day are what really matters.

that's exactly whats holding this up! they been in talks for almost 2 months now! cotto may be the bigger name but Martinez is the champ period, the champ always has say in negotiations and should automatically have his name first. it would be different if Martinez was begging cotto for a fight but cotto wants his belt so he needs to do what it takes to get it

Well it was assumed Margarito would win but he didn't so logically, Cotto should have fought the guy who beat Margarito.

That constitutes ducking to you? Ducking anyone to face a prime Margarito makes no sense if he was afraid of losing and wanted an easy fight.

The guy who is selling the fight always gets his name first!
The champ should get to walk second and announced second. Being that Cotto is a way more bigger star than Martinez, he should get to walk or annoiunced second, thats how this works.

Martinez didnt had a problem with Chavez jr, or Paul Williams to be announced second, so he needs to stfu and sign the damn thing(Its already sign and delivered just watch)

Whats all this **** that Cotto ducked Williams? The only time frame that they where free to fight each other was after Quintana school Paul Williams, and paul seeked a rematch with Quintana at the time. Then after the Margo beat down and Paul was fighting at 154/160.

So no, there wasnt a time they could had fought, that made sense for both fighters! Saying Cotto ducked Williams is ridiculous!

Williams would have got fights at WW if he had not jumped ship to JMW so quickly after getting revenge on Quintana.
