Former two division champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" López (33-3, 30KOs) is no longer being promoted by Top Rank, according to Juanma's co-promoter Peter Rivera of Puerto Rico Best Boxing. Rivera says Juanma was not released and there was no disagreement, stating that Juanma's promotional contract with Top Rank simply expired.

I wish someone could knock some sense into these guys sometimes.

Juanma is done, shot beyond belief, the punishment he's taken especially last 4-5 fights has been immense. He's got no business in the ring.

Juanma is done and I wish he wasn't. Those Salido wars drained his career away.

my best memory of juanma came in Antigua, Guatemala. I had watched his fight with someone (don't recall who) a month earlier when it actually happened & they were showing reruns in an English pub there. I bet a bunch of guys in the bar what round the fight would end. it was only for beers but none of them knew the fight had already happened... I didn't stick around after my 6 pack winnings...

it seems like salido just took his confidence away, you can see that in the rematch,he was hesitant to throw anything in the first rounds,i would like to see him win again though,he's still young,he won't change his style, thats just the way he fights,he just needs to face guys who don't punch that hard, would like to see him as champ again

Juanma has to be the fastest fighter to go from champion to shot in the history of the sport

So the bobble head kid is a free agent. Hahahahahahaha, the guy looks so funny to me as other fighters knock him senseless. Him, Khan and Pacroid are tied for who looks the funniest when being KO'D.... My pick would be Pacroid since he's everyone's hero, but what people don't know is that the MGM Grand is trying to charge Pacroid the price of a room because he was sleeping in the ring after Marquez knocked him out cold......
