Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMP View PostManny Pacquiao’s offer to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. “anytime, anywhere,” with all proceeds going to worldwide charities, has won the admiration of Top Rank’s Bob Arum.
The astute promoter told the BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard that Pacquiao’s unprecedented offer was “an incredible statement for the sport of boxing,” and it had his full support.
While Arum did concede that “money is important,” he believed that Pacquiao’s offer was a major boost for the sport of boxing.
Pacquiao earlier scoffed at the claim that he was only looking to fight Mayweather for the money.
[Click Here To Read More]....I really thought Pac was just trolling Floyd to get back at him for that instagram shot....no way would he fight him for free....I stand by that, who the **** they think we are?!?...try selling that **** to uninformed casuals....Pac need bread and after getting iced and left for dead with no chance at redemption by Marquez, Pac needs Floyd more than Floyd needs him....we know that, so little PR stunts like this shouldn't surprise us "hardcore everyday all day" REAL fans of the sport
Arum been full of ****....Pac is another example of how association breeds similarities!!...they need to cut the bs and REALLY pursue the fight....Pac should reach in his bag of money he got stashed in his volt in the crib and break Arum off something nice and go indy for the Floyd fight and double up....Pac is bigger than Arum or any promotional company in the sport....dude can make moves without Arum and benefit way more....every fighter can't do that so Pac is major.....someone close to him should be telling him that....Arum is in the way!!

I must admit, you are the one clueless in this issue, Pac/KFC negotiation started on 2010 after Pac annihilated Cotto on mid-November of 2009. How can they negotiate on 2009 when Pac was scheduled to fight Cotto? Dont worry brother, Noob in boxing like you has a lot of room in this site. The first negotiations for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight began in late 2009. On December 11, 2009, Golden Boy Promotions sent a fight contract on behalf of Mayweather to Top Rank, Pacquiao's promoter. The contract reportedly stipulated a March 13, 2010 fight date, and proposed a 50-50 financial split between the two sides.[1] Mayweather also demanded that Olympic-style drug testing be conducted by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, which would entail random blood and urine testing through the day of the fight.[2] This stipulation would prove to be a point of contention between the camps. Pacquiao refused to have any blood testing within 30 days from the fight, because he thought it would weaken him, but he was willing to have blood taken from him before the 30-day window as well as immediately after the fight.[11] Furthermore, Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer, commented that he would not allow blood to be taken from Pacquiao one week before the fight.[12][13] In an attempt to resolve their differences, the two camps went through a process of mediation before a retired judge. After the mediation process Mayweather agreed to a 14-day no blood testing window. However, Pacquiao refused and instead only agreed to a 24-day no blood testing window.[14] Consequently, on January 7, 2010, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum declared that the fight was officially off.[15] Pacquiao went on to fight Joshua Clottey on the March 13 date, while Mayweather fought Shane Mosley in May. Both won by unanimous decision.

Call him out. The ball is in Floyd's court and still not a word.. Loud mouth is silent.. Call him out Floyd.. If he got balls to man-up and call him out..the thing is silence is admittance of being a pussay that's the problem there lol

I don't want to pressure Mayweather into accepting the ruined idol of some pretty deluded folks. Its over dude and the biggest winner and loser are at TR.
Arguably the highest most publicized boxers of the later 2000's all dominating multiple weight classes and PPV, fighting at the same weight class for years now and the fight still has not happened. Not fighting Pacquiao will severely hurt Floyds legacy because though we know Pac's last two losses have effected his rank on top Welterweights right now we no he is the best. Let me paint it clearly if Amir Khan, Paulie Malignaggi, Broner didn't get a Mayweather fight do you think in a million years they would choose to face Pacquiao as a second option...No. What is getting ridiculous is when champions and self proclaimed Floyd contenders take toon up fights because "washed up" Pacquiao is going to guarantee them a loss (Broner, Paulie). Even Maidana who would fight Pacquiao would get steam rolled by him.

floyd put his differences aside with arum and even agreed to a 50/50 split. he had one stipulation that manny couldn't concede to and took him to court for it while arum made a circus show out of the entire thing. you shouldn't expect the same business offer after you've slapped the other guy's hand like that.
arum is clearly a problem. manny's cultish fans have even admitted that. so why is it considered a duck move if he wants pac to leave TR?
Mayweather had also refused to agree to a 50/50 split of the purse and demanded all promotion of the fight go through his own company Gold Boy Productions as well as control the PPVs money while agreeing to only pay Pacquiao $40 million, even after after he agreed to the requested style of blood testing
...... You are idiot my friend

a contract was drawn up by mayweather that had a 50/50 split offer on it in 2009. are you purposely being ******? the last paragraph you quoted is from a conversation between floyd and manny over the phone in 2012 after manny had lied about fighting for less money.
