  • Comments Thread For: HBO, K2 Unable To Work Out Deal For Golovkin-Adama

The good news for HBO – and boxing fans – is that Gennady Golovkin will remain a fixture on the network as the 2014 boxing season takes shape.

The bad news is, the on-air relationship will not resume until the spring.

HBO and K2 Promotions, Golovkin’s promoter have exhausted all efforts in attempting to secure air time for the unbeaten middleweight’s next ring appearance, a February 1 title defense in Monte Carlo versus Osumana Adama. The deal called for the fight to be carried live in a mid-afternoon special on HBO2, but ultimately fell through. [Click Here To Read More]

He was fighting in an overseas county anyway.
Would've been on at like 5 in the afternoon

glad HBO didn't pick this fight up.

it's an appearance fight for Golovkin. The less appearance fights they televise the better IMO

I'm the other way; more exposure means more revenue in the long run. Right now in boxing I'd pick quantity over quality in terms of fights.

Even though he doesn't have a good opponent that day its better than watching two more notable fighters pitty patting one another scared to engage.......like a fight recently that deserves no mention. GGG/Adama promises a onesided thrashing for your entertainment.
