Sadly, froch now HAS to rematch groves tbh and i dont think he'll win a rematch as he'll be even more faded this time.
While I do agree that the ref robbed Froch of perhaps the crowning moment of his career. However there is nothing sad about their being a rematch. It deserved one either way as it was a great fight.

If the rematch happens, I'm sure Groves will have early success, but once again when (not if, when) Froch gets to him Groves in trouble. He'll get knocked spark out this time, and he'll be wishing the referee stepped in and stopped it earlier.

Careful what you wish for - the ref may not stop the fight in the rematch.

In all seriousness though, this fight should get made. The first one was very entertaining, and the build-up in the rematch would be epic.

Might well happen..but then if Groves catches him like in the first , midway or early in the round the guy who got dropped and didn't know might well hope the ref steps in quick!

it was a good scrap. I think Groves was much better than Froch thought he would be (and worlds better than I thought he was). IMO the fight was stopped early, in the rematch, I believe Froch legitimately KO's him but is well behind on the cards

Groves does even a bigger number on him in the rematch.
Froch will not match him in hand speed especially, and will get
KO'd. 5 million quid is what they are offering Froch.

froch got hurt by jermain taylor & won on a last second knockout. froch has fought the best & groves almost pulled the upset but he was not the mandatory challenger so froch don't owe him S**T! if the money is right it will happen again or groves will need to win an eliminator to get his rematch... he got his chance & never got it done...

Really impressed with both of them to be honest. Groves proved he's legit and i really like his style. Froch did what he does, I think he would of stopped groves late.

Either way a rematch would great. I cant really see another fight for either of them until then.

the saint WAS mandatory challenger for the IBF strap but, carl never wanted to relinquish it.
georgey groves earned it and proved it.
certainly deserves a rematch....get your facts in order my friend.
