Well, Floyd's flat fee was in 2012. So that is what people are discussing when they are criticizing the $40 million flat fee from Floyd.Comment

Even when he was in the 5050 range, Floyd didn't want it. The range will never matter when one fighter has no intention of fighting. Manny could have agreed to the 40 mil, and Floyd would have made another excuse, like this one,
"He has to leave bob arum." Say he leaves Bob, whats the next excuse?Comment

Playing devil's advocate here of course. Obviously the purse would be different in the time period involving these fighters. But would an Ali have taken a similar offer from a George Foreman if he were said to be "ducking" him or would Leonard have accepted the same from Duran?Comment

Floyd has net worth, Pac is in tens of millions of debt....I'm not excusing either fighter for the sad excuse they put forth making this fight...but your knowledge of boxing has always shown to be lacking. Continue on.Comment

As for the flat fee...no one would've accepted it then, at the moment though Pac is not even close to 50/50 or A side. Accepting 40 million if it was offered again would be a smart choice. He made about half that vs Rios...and will make about the same vs Bradley if not a tiny bit more, while Floyd can fight a joke fight in Khan and make more more than Pac if he fought anyone other than Floyd. Those points won't change.Comment
