Mayweather, first it was the so called drug test, then it was the cut off date, then it was the 40mill BS, now he says the fight wont happen because arum doesn't like him.
and he still continues to duck Pac today.Comment

What about Oscar and Canelo? Of course they aren't like Pac-Marquez because Floyd is not getting cut up, knocked out, etc.? Who wants to see Floyd-Marquez 2? For it to be a good rivalry, the fighters have to be near equal in skill. We haven't found that person for Floyd yet. We've found about 3 or 4 for Manny.Sorry but even many Floyd fans want to see Floyd vs Manny or Bradley. As for Marquez vs Manny there is nothing that Floyd has in his resume that can compare to that rivalry ..... NOTHING!!! If there would have been a #5 fight, it would have done well and would have been a much anticipated fight.Comment

To make the biggest fight in Boxing history to mean something special to so many people, set a precedence for the sport and show the caring side of the pugilistic violence that is frowned upon by so many. It would be a huge showing to the world. All Pac did was ask that Floyd and him give to charity. That's is not even remotely absurd. Floyd can say yes, no, or maybe. It is not an egregious sin to ask. It is not like Pac is treading the sacred ground of Floyd to just ask. Lets see if or when Floyd responds and how he responds. Till then, it sits in limbo. And why does it have to be a charity event? Professional boxers don't fight charity events. And why does it have to be a charity event? Professional boxers don't fight charity events. They fight for a living - just like other people work for a living. Why would Floyd look bad if he chooses not to fight a charity event? Which other top fighters have fought charity events? Do you look bad because you get paid for the work you do? Yes, it would be nice if Manny donates his purse to charity but to demand/suggest/ask that the fight be a charity event for his opponent too is absurd. Floyd already donates some of the money he makes to charity, he just doesn't make as big a fuss about it as MannyLast edited by richardt; 01-21-2014, 12:54 AM.Comment

Canelo was missing the experience as his resume was questionable. Floyd's camp approved the fight knowing full well that Canelo had lot's of weaknesses plus had to go down to 152 CW.What about Oscar and Canelo? Unfortunately, Oscar was more of a promoter by then and was not as active. Even his record during those last few years was very average. He lost to Hopkins in 2004 then didn't fight until 2006 for 1 fight and then Floyd in 2007. Furthermore, many say that Oscar lost the fight prior to Hopkins and lost to Mosley before that ....
If Oscar was prime, Floyd would have been toast!Comment

So by your logic, Manny beating an older Oscar and an older Mosely was totally meaningless? Canelo had to go to 152, Cotto had to go to 145, your point? If Canelo's resume is questionable, then what about Bradley and Rios? What did they do in the welterweight division?Canelo was missing the experience as his resume was questionable.
